Zlatan Ibrahimovic to China: Arsenal and Manchester United target 'to be offered' huge €75m contract to play in far East

Arsenal and Manchester United target Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be offered a massive €75m (£59m) a year to play in China, according to reports.

The mercurial Swedish striker will be offered the staggering sum by the China government to play in their Super League.

Italian news source La Repubblica have reported that the 34-year-old is set to be been paid three-times the salary of Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi to play in the far East.

Ibrahimovic is out of contract at the end of the season, and has also been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Manchester United reportedly interested.

United midfielder Mata has spoken about the possibility of Ibrahimovic joining the club and indicated he would be keen to see such a move come off.

“I don’t know what he’s going to do,” Mata told Sky Sports.

“I don’t know if he will be finishing his contract or not with PSG at the end of the season and if he’s going to stay there or not. Maybe he tries a new chapter in his long career.

“He is probably the best in the history of Sweden if we talk about football and what he represents.”
