Newcastle and Aston Villa are ready to battle it out for Spurs right-back DeAndre Yedlin, who is likely to be available for around £5m.
The 23-year-old is being tipped to leave White Hart Lane before the transfer window closes at the end of the month to secure regular first-team football.
Yedlin was sent out on loan to Sunderland last season and his path into Mauricio Pochettino’s side is currently blocked by Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier so a move away looks to be on the cards.
Newcastle and Villa are reportedly interested and both are prepared to pay the £5million asking price for the USA international, who has previously been linked with Derby and Hull this summer.
Trippier, meanwhile, is expected to stay with Spurs despite the 25-year-old only making 19 appearances since moving from Burnley last summer. There was speculation Trippier would be allowed out on loan but, with Yedlin now set to go, Trippier is expected to stay put.
