Bundesliga club Wolfsburg have been tipped to launch a move for out-of-favour Manchester United forward Memphis Depay.
The Netherlands international has struggled to make an impact since his £25million move from PSV Eindhoven last summer and has seen his chances limited further following Jose Mourinho’s arrival as manager.
Memphis has managed just three appearances this season, all as a substitute, and revealed earlier this month that he wanted regular action and hinted he would be prepared to move on in search of first-team football.
Germany’s Bild now say Wolfsburg are ready to offer Memphis a way out of Old Trafford in January.
The Bundesliga club may attempt to push through a loan move with a view to a permanent transfer but they could face a battle for his signature as AC Milan have also been credited with an interest.
