Southampton are reported to have joined the queue of clubs who showing an interest in Norwich winger Nathan Redmond.
Speculation linking Redmond away from Carrow Road has gathered pace since the Canaries’ relegation to the Championship was confirmed, and Saints are the latest club to be linked.
Staying in the Premier League is sure to appeal to Redmond, and there will be no shortage of offers with Stoke and Swansea also in the hunt for his signature.
Redmond has just over 12 months remaining on his contract and Norwich could decide to cash in now rather than run the risk of him leaving for nothing this time next year.
Reports have suggested Norwich will slap a £15million price tag on Redmond’s head but they will be lucky to get such a figure with time ticking away on his contract.
A bidding war would help, but any of the interested parties are unlikely to go that high, with £6-8million seen as a more realistic asking price.
