Crystal Palace will hand Yannock Bolasie a start against West Brom on Satutday but Bakary Sako’s participation is in the balance.
Sako is close to returning to the side following problems with his hamstring but boss Alan Pardew is undecided as to whether to include him on Saturday to face the Baggies but admits he will be involved some time in the upcoming week.
However, there is better news on Bolasie after he made his return to action against Tottenham in the FA Cup, Pardew confirming he will start Saturday evening’s match having spent 10 weeks on the sidelines.
“I think he’s ready to start [Bolasie]. He’s very important to us. We’ve got 12 games left and he’ll be significant in all of those,” said Pardew.
“His involvement at Spurs has lifted us. It was nice for him to have that interaction with the fans at the end.”
The Eagles will be without Jason Puncheon (hamstring) who is a “couple more weeks away”, James McArthur (ankle) and Pape Souare who is suspended.
Provisional squad: Hennessey, Speroni, McCarthy, Dann, Delaney, Hangeland, Kelly, Mariappa, Ward, Jedinak, Cabaye, Ledley, Mutch, Bolasie, Lee, Sako, Zaha, Adebayor, Campbell, Chamakh, Gayle, Wickham.
