Tottenham’s bid to land Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is on the verge of collapse after talks with Marseille broke down.
Spurs are thought to have agreed an £11m deal for the winger but reports now claim that chairman Daniel Levy wants to restructure the payments over a period of time rather than pay most of it up front which had been the basis of the original agreement with Marseille president, Vincent Labrune.
Spurs have apparently tried to renegotiate the deal following Labrune’s departure after Marseille were sold.
It has also been reported the collapse of the deal is connected to the departure of head of recruitment Paul Mitchell but the club deny this.
In the meantime Clinton Njie has received a work permit to move to Marseille on a year long loan as part of the deal but he remains in limbo with the deal now in doubt.
