Tottenham are reported to have agreed a fee of £11million with Marseille for their France under-21 winger, Georges-Kévin Nkoudou.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino kick-started his summer recruitment drive when snapping up striker Vincent Janssen from PSV Eindhoven last week and he hopes to follow it up quickly with the addition of Nkoudou.
The 21-year-old only joined Marseille from Nantes 12 months ago in a deal worth £1million, but his valuation has rocketed following some dazzling displays in France.
The deal could be wrapped up this week once the player has undergone a medical and it is though he will put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract.
Marseille are keen to take Spurs forward Clinton Njie on a season-long loan deal, but it is not part of the Nkoudou deal and will be pursued separately.
