Who should Roy Hodgson pick? How England must line up this summer

David Woods says:

Sadly, there’s no Lionel Messi hidden in the Premier League to come in. Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford could be something special, but asking too much, too soon could ruin him.

The two to be cut for me are Liverpool’s unconvincing duo of Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson, with the latter to come back in if Jack Wilshere does not regain his fitness.

Aside from his ability, Wilshere comes over as that rarity – a real leader on the pitch.

Speaking of which, what a pity Chelsea’s John Terry couldn’t be persuaded to come out of retirement.

Starting XI for Russia:

Hart, Clyne, Cahill, Stones, Bertrand, Dier, Lallana, Alli, Sterling, Vardy, Kane.
