West Ham have made a bid for Dinamo Zagreb wonderkid Ante Coric, according to reports in his native Croatia.
The 19-year-old has already made 52 appearances in his country’s top flight and is the only teenager to have been included in Croatia’s Euro 2016 squad.
According to Vecernji List, Slaven Bilic has now launched an ambitious move to lure his compatriot to east London ahead of the finals.
It has been suggested that Zagreb will hold out until after the Euros in the hope that his value will grow should he make a good impression in France.
Inter Milan and Benfica have both been credited with an interest in Coric but the Hammers are hoping to jump straight to the front of the queue with an offer reported to be worth around £10m.
It has been suggested that the Zagreb-born starlet may favour a switch to West Ham so he can work under Bilic but also because of their history of giving young players a chance.
