New Premier League season, new stadium, new players, but can West Ham carry on last year’s impressive form.
First up it’s Chelsea in a huge London derby at Stamford Bridge, but can the Hammers show new Blues boss Antonio Conte just how difficult the English top-flight will be?
Barring humiliating 4-1 defeats to Tottenham and Swansea, the Hammers had a great campaign, putting Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Man City to the sword at various points.
They have, so far, kept hold of superstar midfielder Dimitri Payet, despite post-Euro 2016 interest, and have added a selection of stars to Slaven Bilic’s squad.
The Frenchman, though, is unlikely to start in this fixture due to his summer exertions, while Aaron Cresswell, Manuel Lanzini and Gokhan Tore will miss out through injury.
