West Ham and Watford look set to miss out on Simone Zaza as he draws closer to a move to Wolfsburg.
Zaza, who missed a penalty in Italy’s Euro 2016 shootout defeat to Germany earlier this month, has been linked with a switch to the Premier League since last summer when he decided to join Juventus from Sassuolo.
But Zaza struggled to make an impact for the Italian champions, making just five Serie A starts all season.
That had put Watford and West Ham back on alert but now, according to Tuttosport, Wolfsburg are closing in on landing the 25-year-old.
The German club are reportedly ready to fork out £25m for Zaza, which significantly trumps any offer West Ham or Watford had in the pipeline.
