West Brom are keeping a close eye on Werder Bremen midfielder Florian Grillitsch as they weigh up a summer swoop.
The Austrian has worked his way into the Werder senior side this season having come through the club’s youth system and has impressed the Weserstadion faithful, making 22 appearances in all competitions.
The 20-year-old’s form has not gone unnoticed with West Brom and Crystal Palace said to have watched the attacking midfielder in action ahead of a transfer tussle this summer, according to Fussball Transfers.
Grillitsch has a contract with Werder until 2017 and the Germans are keen to extend it. However, they may be forced to cash in on him if they fail to preserve their Bundesliga status, the club entering the international break just one point outside the relegation zone.
Should he be put up for sale then Grillitsch could have plenty of options to choose from, with Albion boss Tony Pulis likely to throw his hat into the ring having made it clear he is eager to improve his attacking options this summer.
