The Baggies boss was responsible for signing five of the Stoke players on view, including 35-year-old striker Peter Crouch, who set up his side’s goal.

Crouch is rumoured to be unsure of his Potters future with reports suggesting he can leave the Britannia Stadium in the summer, having made only three Premier League starts this season.

The former England striker is under contract until 2017 so Stoke would be looking for a fee if any club came in for him over the summer.

Scotland international Charlie Adam was signed by Pulis in 2012 and started 22 Premier League games in his first and the Albion boss’ last season at the Potteries club.

The 30-year-old could move on this summer and has been on the radar of several Championship clubs, with Burnley also checking him out on Saturday.

Midfielder Glenn Whelan, centre-back Ryan Shawcross and forward Jonathan Walters, who came on as a second-half substitutes, were the other Potters players with links to Pulis’ time at the club.
