Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has refused to rule out a move for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette following rumours a deal could happen.
Lacazette caught the eye after firing home 23 goals for Lyon last season and Wenger is reported to be weighing up a move for the striker, who is also wanted by West Ham United.
The Hammers are reported to have already failed with a bid of £42million and Arsenal will have to pay at least £45million to have any chance of doing a deal.
However, when quizzed about the rumours, Wenger told Canal+ Sport: “I neither confirm or deny interest.
“If I say that I like the player it starts speculation.”
Lacazette still has three years remaining on his current deal with Lyon so the French side are under no pressure to sell and will hold out for their full valuation.
