The Barcelona superstar moved level with Gabriel Batistuta on 54 goals when he grabbed his side’s third in a comfortable victory at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Gonzalo Higuain also scored twice while Tottenham’s Erik Lamela grabbed his third international goal on his 20th appearance for his country.
West Brom striker Salomon Rondon got the consolation for Venezuela.
