Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino insists he has been impressed with Victor Wanyama during their pre-season exploits.
Pochettino spent a fee of £11million to sign the Kenya international for a second time this summer, having previously brought him into Southampton from Celtic.
Wanyama is now working through his third week of pre-season training with the Spurs squad ahead of their opening game of the campaign against Everton on August 13.
The 25-year-old played a part in the behind-closed-doors friendly against Fulham on Saturday and Pochettino insists he is impressed with what he’s seen so far.
Pochettino said: “Victor is very happy, excited and very motivated about the new challenge he has here,” said Mauricio.
“We’re happy as well because he’s an important player and a player who wants the best. We will provide him with the best tools to arrive at the start of the season really fit.”
