Arsenal forward Theo Walcott is reported to be on the radar of West Ham United, with the Hammers willing to splash out £25million.
Walcott managed just 15 Premier League starts last season and is understood to have grown frustrated at a lack of game time at the Emirates Stadium.
The forward, who missed out on a place in England’s Euro 2016 party, is likely to slip further down the Gunners pecking order if Arsenal sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester and as such boss Arsene Wenger is thought to be open to a sale.
The Hammers have been tentatively linked with Walcott in the past and the Evening Standard say they are now preparing a £25million bid this summer.
Walcott’s reported £140,000-a-week wages could prove to be a stumbling block but the 27-year-old may well be open to a move away from Arsenal in order to secure regular football elsewhere and reclaim a place in the England squad.
Liverpool are also known to be keen on Walcott and West Ham’s reported bid could spark the Anfield side into action.
