Kieran Richardson and Ciaran Clark could be on the sidelines when relegated Aston Villa welcome Southampton on Saturday.
The duo face fitness tests on the day of the game after sustaining knocks in training this week, so could join the suspended Gabriel Agbonlahor on the sidelines.
Caretaker boss Eric Black claims Jores Okore is refusing to play for Villa, meaning he will be absent along with Jordan Amavi and Libor Kozak who are out with respective knee and ankle problems.
On Denmark international defender, Okore, Black confirmed that the player refused to be a substitute in the recent home defeat against Bournemouth.
And in a meeting on the Monday after the game he reiterated that ‘he didn’t want to play again and didn’t want to be involved again’.
Okore will now see out the season with Villa’s Under-21s as Black added: “At that point I couldn’t dream of bringing him into the group because I only want people there who want to play.”
Meanwhile Black has stressed that he wants Villa to try and finish a dismal season on a high after their relegation was confirmed after last Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Manchester United.
He said: “We have four games left. We get ready, the boys have worked hard. I’m ready to put a team out to be competitive.
“We’re all professional. All I can do is prepare them in the best manner.
“It’s not been a fantastic week under the circumstances after the relegation. We are looking for brighter days ahead.
“ItÂ’s a horrible feeling. Relegation is official now and we have to start going the other way – the sooner the better.”
