Aston Villa are continuing to scout Championship-based targets with Bristol City’s Aden Flint and Jonathan Kodjia watched on Tuesday.
Villa were one of four Premier League clubs in attendance at Ashton Gate as the Robins clinched a 1-1 draw against Rotherham to keep themselves clear of the Championship relegation zone.
West Brom, Everton and Chelsea also had representatives at the match with 26-year-old City centre-back Aden Flint thought to be the target of at least one of them.
The 6ft 5in tall defender has formed a solid partnership with on-loan Villa centre-back Nathan Baker this season and club officials could be thinking of teaming them up again next term.
Kodjia started on the bench for the home side but got a late run-out as a replacement for goalscorer Peter Odemwingie.
The former Angers striker, 26, has scored 14 goals in his first season in England and should attract interest from other clubs in the summer transfer window.
