Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed his representatives held talks with Man City about a summer transfer to the Premier League club.
City were one of a number of sides credited with interest in the 27-year-old goal machine, who struck 25 times in the Bundesliga last season.
Former Saint-Etienne striker Aubameyang has scored five goals in five games already this season and explained to French publication Onze Mondial about a possible move away.
“It’s true, there was contact,” he said. “My father held talks with [Man City], but in the end there was nothing concrete.
“I think there was interest [from Real Madrid], but it was more distant so I didn’t get too carried away.”
Aubameyang has previously spoken about a desire to play for Real, while he also said PSG regularly enquire about him.
