Dean Ashton reminded West Ham fans of his ability in front of goal on Monday.
The former Norwich and Hammers striker, now 32, was forced to hang up his boots in 2009 after struggling with injury.
Ashton’s career is a case of what could have been – had he not been blighted by injury, he could well have been a hit for club and country.
Ashton returned to Upton Park on Monday to play in Mark Noble’s testimonial, scoring arguably one of the goals of the game. Considering there was 11 goals in total, that is some feat!
West Ham beat a West Ham All-Stars team 6-5 and Ashton had the whole ground applauding in the second half when he netted a third goal for the All Stars. See the excellent bicycle kick, below!
