Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is reported to be lining up a surprise move to bring Robin van Persie back to England.
The former Arsenal and Manchester United ace currently plays his football with Fenerbahce but he has struggled to impress and the Turkish side are happy to sell him on.
After missing out on Marseille’s Michy Batshuayi, who has joined Chelsea on a five-year deal, Pardew will turn his attentions to Van Persie, who could be available for just £4million.
There are other interested parties in the Premier League, but London is the only destination he would consider in England, with West Ham United also keen.
Fenerbahce president Azil Yildirim said earlier this week: “Van Persie? We’re waiting for buyers, if he wants to be sold.”
