Ahead of their takeover by an American investment group, Swansea have announced plans to spend part of their pre-season in the US.
The Swans have confirmed they will travel Stateside on July 7, spending a week in Washington at a training camp before playing two friendly matches.
The opponents for the first game on July 13 have yet to be confirmed but the club have announced they will take on the Richmond Kickers on July 16 in Richmond, Virginia.
It will be the third time the Welsh club have gone to the United States for part of their pre-season campaign, last crossing the Atlantic in 2014.
Boss Francesco Guidolin expects the tour to set Swansea up nicely before the 2016/17 season gets underway, claiming the United States is the perfect place to prepare.
“Pre-season is a hugely important part of a campaign, and our tour to America will really benefit us as we prepare for the 2016-17 Premier League season,” Guidolin told the Swans website.
“It will be my first pre-season in charge at the club, and I’m really looking forward to the training camp and also the forthcoming matches.
“We are really looking forward to our friendly with Richmond Kickers, who will give us the test we need as we approach the beginning of the new campaign.
“It’s an exciting tour for us and I believe we will gain a lot from it.”
