Manchester United are keeping tabs on Benfica winger Goncalo Guedes but it remains to be seen if a deal can be done.
Portuguese reports claim the Old Trafford side approached Benfica regarding Guedes’ availability back in the January transfer window but the youngster decided he wanted to stick with the Lisbon outfit.
United have seemingly retained an interest and it is claimed they had scouts at the Estadio da Luz during Benfica’s 4-0 win over Feirense at the weekend, where Guedes managed 84 minutes.
The 19-year-old is under contract until 2021 and has a reported release clause of £52million in his deal, and so United may have to match that figure in order to push through a deal as Benfica are under no pressure to sell.
Guedes, who has been capped twice by Portugal, is also understood to be happy to remain with his current employers.
