Juan Mata is confident Manchester United have now turned a corner following their weekend 4-1 mauling of champions Leicester City.
The Old Trafford midfielder was delighted by the return to winning ways after two successive Premier League defeats for the Red Devils.
Mata was equally happy to be back in the starting XI after boss Jose Mourinho decided to drop striker Wayne Rooney and go with a more fluid line-up.
The Spain playmaker, however, feels United also sent out a clear message to the rest of their rivals that they now pose a different kind of threat in games.
Three of United’s goals against the Foxes came from Daley Blind corners and made full use of the aerial power the team now possesses.
Mata insists: “We have always worked on corners. As a team we try to get the ball into the box for someone to put it in the back of the net.
“We tried it a few times last season but it’s didn’t work.
“But now we have strong people, tall people to head the ball in.”
