Manchester United’s pursuit of Paul Pogba has resulted in them standing back from a possible bid for Leicester midfielder N’Golo Kante.
The Red Devils asked about Kante towards the end of last season when Louis van Gaal was still in the Old Trafford hot seat.
And legendary former boss Sir Alex Ferguson also described the 25-year-old France dynamo as the best player in the Premier League last term.
But such is United’s overall focus and desire to acquire £100m-rated Pogba from Juventus this summer, they have decided to back Jose Mourinho’s primary vision
Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola revealed earlier this week the Portuguese supremo had tried and failed to take the player to Chelsea last year.
United insiders, however, have insisted they will not be reacting to Chelsea’s current attempts to sign Kante for £29million despite their previous and extensive scouting of him.
There is a lot of admiration for the former Caen man but the Red Devils are determined to wait on Pogba.
