Everton boss Ronald Koeman is said to be keen on reuniting with Morgan Schneiderlin and is willing to offer £20m for the United man.
Koeman spent a year working with the France international at Southampton, with Schneiderlin becoming a key member of that Saints side before making the move to Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old joined United for around £26million last summer but struggled to establish himself in the heart of the Red Devils’ midfield, often finding himself on the bench under previous manager Louis van Gaal.
It remains to be seen whether new boss Jose Mourinho has plans to use Schneiderlin but if not then Everton look as though they will jump at the chance to sign him.
The Toffees are eager to bring in two central midfielders this summer and are prepared to offer United £20million in the hope they might be tempted to let Schneiderlin leave.
