Spurs star Harry Kane has emerged as a potential Manchester United target should Jose Mourinho replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.
United boss Van Gaal will enter the final year of his deal in the summer but it is thought the club will decide to make a change at the top if they miss out on Champions League football, although they could decide to end the Dutchman’s tenure regardless of whether or not they finish in the top four.
Mourinho is seemingly confident of replacing current United manager Van Gaal at the end of the season and ESPN, citing sources, say Kane is the former Chelsea manager’s “primary transfer target”.
However, it remains to be seen whether or not Spurs would entertain any offers for the 22-year-old striker, and Kane is unlikely to be prepared to push for an exit given the fact Spurs are destined to finish in the top four this season, with the Premier League title still firmly in their sights.
Kane is 6/4 with Titanbet to be the Premier League’s top goalscorer this season.
