Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward is understood to have opened talks with Juventus over a deal for Paul Pogba.
Reports claim a deal worth £100million could see Pogba return to Old Trafford four-years after he left to join Juventus on a free deal.
Juventus aren’t keen on allowing their star midfielder to depart but would find it hard to turn down an offer of that magnitude.
It’s understood that the Red Devils have set aside £300,000-a-week in wages for the France international, who is currently still involved at Euro 2016.
Real Madrid have also been linked with Pogba this summer but United are hoping that by starting talks early they can win the race.
If the two clubs agree on a £100million transfer fee it will make Pogba the most expensive player in the world football.
