Manchester United are poised to increase their offer for Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan up to £28million.
United have been after the Armenia international this summer and have apparently already had one offer in the region of £23million rejected by the Bundesliga side.
However, new boss Jose Mourinho is very keen on the 27-year-old and is stepping up his attempts to land him by increasing the offer to nearer £30million.
That amount could end up being enough to prise Mkhitaryan away and a deal is expected to eventually be agreed between the player and two clubs sometime next month.
Mkhitaryan’s agent said last week he believed his client would end up at Old Trafford and the latest reports suggest United are closing in on him.
Dortmund do not want to lose the playmaker but will accept offers of around £30million as he has just one year left on his contract and does not appear willing to enter negotiations over a new deal.
United look set to revamp their squad this summer, under the new manager, in a bid to challenge once again for the Premier League title, for which they are currently priced at 9/2 to win with Titanbet.
