Injury-prone Manchester United defender Phil Jones hopes to be back in training next week after having a knee brace removed.
The Red Devils star was reported to have suffered a setback in his recovery from his latest injury, knee ligament damage suffered in the run up to United’s Europa League Group A clash against Feyenoord a fortnight ago.
United expected Jones, who hasn’t made an appearance for Manchester United since February, to be back in a “few weeks” at the time of the injury.
The 24-year-old’s career has been ruined by injuries with the England international estimated to have missed over 80 matches for the Red Devils because of various fitness problems during his career.
Stoke City were reportedly chasing in the ex-Blackburn Rovers man during the summer but United were not interested in a deal.
