Hull are understood to be in talks with youngster Josh Tymon over a new contract to fend off interest from elsewhere.
The Hull-born defender fought his way into first team contention in 2016 after making his debut aged 16 in the FA Cup win away to Bury in January.
Tymon’s emergence has led to a number of Premier League club’s monitoring his progress and Hull are keen to keep him in their ranks.
The full-back currently has two years left to run on his existing scholarship but he is now eligible to sign a first professional deal after turning 17.
Reports claim that talks are already underway and the Tigers hoping to get all the details finalised before they kick off the Premier League campaign in August.
