Two strikers in Hull’s sights

Hull are interested in Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony and Liverpool’s Christian Benteke but deals look unlikely at this stage.

The Tigers are without a manager following Steve Bruce’s resignation but the newly-promoted Premier League outfit remain active in the transfer market as they seek a new boss.

According to The Times, Hull have set their sights on Bony and Benteke, who are both expected to leave their respective clubs before the transfer window closes.

Hull are keen to take Bony on loan, potentially with a view to a permanent deal, but City are seeking an outright sale and it remains to be seen if a deal can be done.

Bony’s former club Swansea could provide competition for the Ivory Coast international and there is speculation they have a £15million buy-back clause.

Benteke struggled to force his way into manager Jurgen Klopp’s side last season but, like City, Liverpool would prefer an outright sale.

The Belgium international has plenty of suitors, including Crystal Palace and West Ham, and it seems as if Hull are facing disappointment in their pursuit of the Reds striker.
