Stoke have joined Crystal Palace and Sunderland in the race to sign West Ham United defender James Tomkins this summer.
Tomkins’ future at West Ham remains unclear after he slipped down the pecking order under Slaven Bilic last season despite having signed a five-year deal 12 months ago.
It is thought the centre-half, who can also play at right-back, is considering his future and may be open to a move away in search of a regular starting role.
Crystal Palace and Sunderland have been linked with the 27-year-old in recent weeks and now it has been claimed Stoke are also keen on the Hammers defender.
West Ham have yet to make a decision on the player’s future, but there will be no shortage of interest if they do make him available.
