Transfer window spending summer 2016 – every Premier League club ranked from least to most money spent

The transfer window is finally closed after a predictably hectic deadline day.

A number of big deals went through during the summer with 13 of the 20 Premier League teams breaking their club transfer records.

The biggest of those deals was the world record transfer of Paul Pogba to Manchester United from Juventus, while John Stones swapped Everton for Manchester City for £50m.

Deadline day brought a number of surprises, with Joe Hart joining Serie A side Torino and Jack Wilshere being loaned out to Bournemouth.

In total Premier League clubs broke the £1bn barrier for the first time as the full effect of the new £4bn broadcast deal was felt.
