Valencia have urged Jose Mourinho to forget about Manchester United and become their next boss. Gary Neville was sacked by the La Liga club after only four months with No2 Pako Ayestaran announced as his interim replacement. But serious discussions have been ongoing for more than a month about Mourinho becoming the master of the Mestalla. Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is also on Valencia’s radar to replace Neville. Pellegrini will leave City this summer to make way for Pep Guardiola. (Daily Mail)

Arsenal have been to see Granit Xhaka play a staggering THIRTY times this season as they look to make a major midfield signing this summer. The Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger has sent his scouts to make weekly checks on Borussia Monchengladbach star Xhaka and they are lining up a £30million move. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is also a summer transfer target for Arsenal. They have sent scouts to watch the Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder and have further monitored his progress via video clips. (Guardian)

Chelsea’s hopes of recalling Andreas Christensen from his loan spell at Borussia Mönchengladbach are set to be dashed by the player, with the Denmark defender keen to continue pursuing first-team opportunities with the Bundesliga club.(Guardian)

David Moyes and Sean Dyche top Aston Villa’s wanted list to replace Remi Garde. Former Manchester United boss Moyes was wanted by Villa earlier in the season, but frightened them off when he said he needed £40million to keep them up this season. And Dyche, boss of Championship leaders Burnley, would cost £3 million in compensation if he was to take up the challenge at Villa Park.
