Arsenal have made a bid for Bolton defender Rob Holding – and hope he’ll be their first summer signing. The 20-year-old has enjoyed a stunning breakthrough campaign at Bolton which culminated in him winning their Player of the Year award last month. But after being relegated to League One, Bolton are resigned to selling the player to raise funds and Arsenal have now moved in. (The Sun)

Claudio Ranieri has targeted freescoring Pescara striker Gianluca Lapadula as he plans for next season. Fresh from leading Leicester to the title, the champions’ boss has had 26-year-old Lapadula watched with a view to a possible summer transfer. Leicester are also set to return for CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa after having three bids, the last one of around £17million, rejected in January. (Daily Mirror)

Riyad Mahrez is set to stick with Leicester and turn his back on a £40m move to one of Europe’s big guns. Barcelona, Paris St-Germain and Arsenal have all been watching the winger. But after lifting the Premier League trophy on Saturday following a 3-1 win against Everton, the 25-year-old confirmed he is staying put for now. (Daily Star)

Chelsea are ready to pull the plug on their attempts to land Everton star John Stones.  The Blues tried to sign the 21-year-old four times last summer as a replacement for John Terry, but had an offer of £37million rejected. They were preparing another bid of around £40m to bring Stones to Stones to Stamford Bridge this summer but Everton want far more and Chelsea are now set to focus their transfer interest elsewhere. (Daily Express)

Miralem Pjanic has admitted his future remains unclear amid interest from Chelsea. The Roma star has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with the Blues reportedly keen on the playmaker. (Daily Star)

West Ham have offered teenager Reece Oxford a new deal to try to fend off the Premier League big guns. Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is desperate to keep 17-year-old Oxford amid serious interest from Arsenal and both Manchester United and Manchester City. (Daily Mirror)

Liverpool are weighing up a £15m move for Roma defender Antonio Rudiger, who is currently on loan at the Serie A side from Stuttgart(Calciomercato)

Ajax boss Frank de Boer would ‘love’ to join Everton this summer, according to his agent. The 45-year-old has been with the Dutch club since 2010, winning four Eredivisie titles. He is contracted to Ajax until 2017 but, with the future of Roberto Martinez coming under increasing scrutiny at Goodison Park, he has had his name thrown into the hat as a potential successor.
