Roma are ready to make Antonio Rudiger’s loan move permanent – before selling him on to Chelsea for a huge profit.
The 23-year-old is coming towards the end of a season-long stay in the Italian capital after being loaned out by Stuttgart.
Within the deal was the option for Roma to purchase Rudiger for £7m this summer if they wanted to.
And, according to Corriere dello Sport, that is exactly what the Italian side will do before immediately selling the defender on to Chelsea.
The Blues are very keen on the centre-back, but cannot make a move for him because of Roma’s option to purchase the player on a permanent basis for £7m.
As a result, Chelsea are prepared to wait for Rudiger to join Roma before offering around £16m to sign him up.
