Chelsea and Manchester United target Marquinhos has reached a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.
The Paris Saint-Germain defender is expected to leave at the end of the season after making just 12 league starts for Laurent Blanc’s side this term.
United had reportedly been in contact with PSG over a possible move, while Chelsea were also keen on the Brazilian when Jose Mourinho was in charge.
However, according to Marca, Barca have held preliminary talks with Marquinhos’ representatives and the Spanish giants are now favourites to land the 21-year-old.
United could still enter a bidding war with Barca if Mourinho takes over at Old Trafford in the summer but the Brazilian defender is understood to be favouring a switch to the Nou Camp to join up with international team-mates Neymar and Dani Alves.
