Manchester United are ready to splash £50million on Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in Holland.
Despite being under pressure in the Old Trafford hotseat, manager Louis van Gaal is expected to get a £100m war chest in the summer to spend on new players.
Top of the Dutchman’s priorities is a striker and the club have been tracking Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani.
However, according to De Telegraaf, Manchester United are ready to make a move for Lukaku instead.
Van Gaal is said to prefer a deal for the Belgian due to the fact he has already proven his ability in the Premier League.
Everton want to keep hold of Lukaku, but it is reported the Toffees will sell if they receive an offer of £50m and above.
