New Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants to raid former club Chelsea for Cesar Azpilicueta, according to reports.
The Special One is a huge fan of the versatile 26-year-old from his second spell in charge at Stamford Bridge, and the Daily Mirror claims he is keen on bringing the Spaniard with him to Old Trafford.
Azpilicueta has three years remaining on his current Chelsea contract, yet is unsure whether he will feature in the plans of incoming boss Antonio Conte.
Conte, currently in charge of Italy, has employed a 3-5-2 formation to great success at Euro 2016 and it is rumoured he wants to bring his former Juventus stars Kwadwo Asamoah and Stephan Lichsteiner to fill the wing-back positions when he arrives in west London.
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly in the market for a new right-back with Gregory van der Wiel’s contract set to expire, and have held informal talks about bringing Azpilicueta to the French capital.
But Mourinho will hope his relationship with the Spain international will convince him to make the move to United.
