Crystal Palace and Swansea are keen on landing striker Gregoire Defrel.
The Frenchman joined Sassuolo from Serie B side Cesena last summer and claimed seven goals and six assists to help the club to finish sixth in the Italian top-flight.
Palace and Swansea see Defrel as a man for the big occasion after he netted key goals in games against Lazio and Roma last season to book Sassuolo a surprise place in next season’s Europa League.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Sassuolo are now preparing themselves for a wave of bids for Defrel this summer, with Palace and Swansea leading the chase for the 24-year-old.
Ideally, coach Eusebio Di Francesco would like to keep hold of Defrel for at least another season after he agreed a five-year deal last summer.
But a bid of around £10m could tempt the club into selling their prize asset, and the player is also understood to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
