Borussia Monchengladbach are eager to negotiate a permanent deal for Chelsea loanee Andreas Christensen.
The defender is currently on a two-year loan at the German club and has swiftly nailed down a regular starting berth for the Bundesliga side.
And now, according to Bild, Monchengladbach’s directors are prepared to buy out Christensen’s contract at Chelsea to keep him in Germany beyond 2017.
Chelsea have high hopes for the young Danish centre-back but would be willing to listen to offers in the region of £12m.
The Blues do have the option to cut short Christensen’s loan to see whether he can fit into their side next season but it is understood they will sell if their valuation of the player is met.
