AC Milan are ready to fight Tottenham for Franco Vazquez.
The 27-year-old Palermo playmaker, who scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 36 Serie A appearances last season, is ready leave the club this summer.
Tottenham are keen on the attacking midfielder and manager Mauricio Pochettino believes he would be a perfect fit for his Spurs team.
But, according to Tuttosport, Milan are trying to hijack any deal by offering Vazquez the chance to stay in Italy.
The Serie A side know they cannot compete with the money on offer in England, but they are hoping that they player will prefer to stay in his homeland rather than move abroad.
