Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United target Gonzalo Higuain has asked Napoli to lower his release clause to try and force through a move.
The Argentine, who broke the Serie A record of the most goals in a season with 35 this term, is being heavily tracked by the big clubs in England and Napoli are preparing themselves for a wave of summer bids.
Arsenal tried to sign Higuain before he left Real Madrid for Napoli in 2013 but their interest has cooled in recent years.
However, United and Chelsea have placed the forward high up on their summer wish-lists and will make contact with Napoli before the summer transfer window opens.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Higuain has got wind of the interest in him from the Premier League and has asked Napoli to decrease the buyout clause in his contract from £72m to £47m.
