Roma are ready to offer Radja Nainggolan a new contract in an attempt to ward off interest from Chelsea.
The midfielder was the subject of strong interest from the Blues in the summer, but he ended up staying put following intense speculation he would leave.
Chelsea have since been linked with a renewed approach for the Belgian during the current transfer window as Antonio Conte remains a fan of the 28-year-old.
Roma, however, according to Calcio Mercato, are desperate to keep Nainggolan and are planning to offer him a new and improved contract.
His current deal expires in June 2020 and the plan is for it to be extended until the following summer.
Nainggolan’s fresh terms would also see him land a pay rise and he is holding out for a wage of around £70,000-a-week.
