Everton are to hold last-minute talks with Steve Mandanda’s agent to try and persuade the goalkeeper to join them rather than Crystal Palace.
Reports on Monday suggested the Frenchman, who is out of contract with Marseille on Friday, was on the verge of agreeing a switch to Selhurst Park after being given assurances he would be installed as the club’s No.1 ahead of Wayne Hennessey.
But, according to RMC, Everton officials are set to meet Mandanda’s agent on Thursday to try and reach an agreement with the 31-year-old.
Mandanda is currently on international duty with France so has ordered his agent to find him a new club by the time Euro 2016 is over.
It remains to be seen whether his future will be resolved by the end of this week, but it is understood he would favour a move to Goodison Park to work under Ronald Koeman.
