Napoli are prepared to make a final offer of £60m for Arsenal target Mauro Icardi.
The striker has stalled over signing a new contract with Inter Milan and clubs are hoping they can lure him away before the end of the summer transfer window.
Arsenal have reportedly expressed an interest in the 23-year-old in the off season, while Chelsea have been linked in the past.
But, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, it is Inter’s Serie A rivals Napoli who are ready to splash the cash with a last £60m bid.
The Italian club are desperate to find a replacement for Gonzalo Higuain, who has jumped ship and moved to Juventus for £75.3million.
After bagging 43 goals in the past two season, Icardi is the man Napoli want and they are confident an offer of £60m can get the deal done.
