Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City have been put on alert after it emerged that Stephan Lichtsteiner could be sold by Juventus before the close of the window.
The English clubs have been linked with the Swiss defender who has established himself as one of Europe’s best right-backs over the past five years at Juve.
However he has been forced down the pecking order by the arrival of Dani Alves and reports in Italy have suggested he is not happy playing second fiddle.
Lichtsteiner has entered the final year of his contract and would be able to walk away on a free next summer.
But Gazzetta dello Sport have suggested that Juve may cash in on him in the closing days of the window to prevent his value from dwindling as he nears the end of his current deal.
