Championship outfit Ipswich Town are reported to be lining up a move for Crystal Palace winger Sullay Kaikai.
The 20-year-old is very highly rated by Eagles boss Alan Pardew and it remains to be seen if he will be willing to let the player move on just yet as injuries continue to bite.
Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy would like Kaikai on board before their Championship opener against Barnsley this weekend but Pardew may prefer to wait until the end of the window before making a decision.
Kaikai impressed while on loan at Shrewsbury last season and has been given his chance to shine in pre-season.
McCarthy watched him in action against AFC Wimbledon last week, and then Kaikai showed his quality with both goals in the 2-1 win over Bromley on Tuesday night.
With Pardew struggling for bodies in attack any imminent move by the Tractor Boys looks likely to be blocked.
